On January 3, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued a notice on the Implementation Plan for the Special Action to Optimize the Power System Regulation Capacity (2025-2027). The document pointed out that by 2027, the regulation capacity of the power system will be significantly improved, the market environment and business model for the development of various regulation resources will be more perfect, and the invocation mechanism of various regulation resources will be further improved. Through the construction and optimization of adjustment capacity, it will support the reasonable consumption and utilization of new energy with an average annual increase of more than 200 million kilowatts from 2025 to 2027, and the national new energy utilization rate will not be less than 90%. 2, Anhui: natural person household distributed photovoltaic does not participate in green power trading
Recently, the Anhui Provincial Energy Bureau issued the “Anhui Green Power Trading Implementation Plan (2025 version) (Draft for comments)”. The document requires that the “full Internet access” and “self-use, surplus Internet access” of industrial and commercial, non-natural person household distributed photovoltaic power generation enterprises registered after January 1, 2025 should in principle participate in green power trading; Encourage other affordable industrial and commercial, non-natural person household distributed photovoltaic power generation enterprises to participate in the transaction; Natural person household distributed photovoltaic does not participate in the transaction. 3. Shaanxi: The newly installed capacity of renewable energy will exceed 15 million kilowatts in 2024
As of December 31, 2024, the annual installed capacity of renewable energy in Shaanxi Province exceeded 15 million kilowatts, accounting for one-twentieth of the country’s new installed capacity, accounting for 78% of the province’s new installed capacity, an increase of 68.5%, becoming the absolute main force of new power installed capacity in Shaanxi Province, the annual new installed capacity and the “13th Five-Year” five years of new installed capacity. The completed investment in renewable energy in the year exceeded 54.6 billion yuan, up 59.2% year on year. Renewable energy in Shaanxi Province grew strongly, with the installed capacity reaching 55.07 million kilowatts, accounting for about 47% of the province’s installed power capacity, including 14.94 million kilowatts of wind power, 34.33 million kilowatts of photovoltaic power, 5.07 million kilowatts of hydropower and 730,000 kilowatts of biomass. 4. From January to November, Azerbaijan’s photovoltaic power generation surged 7.4 times year-on-year
Azerbaijan “Trend” network reported on December 20, according to the report of the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee, from January to November 2024, the photovoltaic power generation in Azerbaijan reached 520 million KWH, a year-on-year surge of 7.4 times (an increase of 460 million KWH). During the same period, Albania’s total electricity generation was about 24.36 billion KWH, down 2.3% (a decrease of 570 million KWH). Among them, thermal power generation reached 20.26 billion KWH, down 9.5% (down 2.13 billion KWH); Hydropower generation reached 2.72 billion KWH, an increase of 71.3% (+ 1.13 billion KWH). In January-November, products and services in the electricity, gas and heat sector totaled 2.79 billion manats (about $1.64 billion).
5. PEA cooperated with Sunday Solar Supply Company to research and develop solar power system product business
According to Thai media reports, on December 12, Prasit Chanprasit, vice president of the Local Electricity Authority of Thailand (PEA), joined with Frank Yan Wei, CEO of Sunday Solar Supply Yan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the research and development of solar power system products, energy storage systems and electric vehicle charging equipment business.
